Default Jeep Brake Mounting Bracket

I was doing the brakes on my wifes WJ and one of the bolts was cross-threaded. I don't know the brackets proper name to order a new one, and am unsure of how to replace it even if I got one. I'm thinking of tapping it out, but it's not a great location.

Pics.

Bolt not flush. Caliper has a little wiggle to it.

I would call it a caliper mounting bracket. If you think an XJ bracket would work, I have a complete front axle here you can take it off of. 354 4476

Remove to rethread it. You may have to pull the axleshaft though, it's been a while since I've had one apart.

I have a decent rethreading kit if you need to borrow. It's a bit more gentle to keeping metal in the thread area vs a tap.

I"m out of state for the next year, thanks otherwise shack.

Nate - That's what I'm leaning towards. Just buy a new one if I screw up re-tapping it.

Popped the rotor off and notched the dust cover to come in from the back side. Everything worked out great.
