Default suburban/ranger what i have done and what i am doing

ok here i go again on the never ending quest to make things better on my rig. started off with a heavy 3/4 suburban (10,000 gvw) 350/350/203 put a 4 inch lift and 35 mt on it. got tired of getting stuck so i put in a detroit locker in the back then a 10,000 lb warn on the front. burned up the 350 trans so got a 400 and put a 205 in as well put headers on it. then i put a dana 60 front under it and stepped up to 35/16/16 boggers. burned up two 400's and destroyed the body after a few years (it was never in that good of shape anyway)and put a 96 ranger extended cab in its place(the extended cab ranger is within about 5 inches of the wheel base of the sub). while i was changing the body i also went to the last modle 465/205 combo. shortly after that i got an 8inch lift then stepped way up to 44 boggers. i was having cooling problems with the ranger front clip IE radiator to small. so i ditch the front clip and built my own using a diesel radiator. that is were i sit so far with my rig. with the 44's and my right foot i keep sharing off the center pins from the driver side front axel. so for this winter i am hoping to go full hydro steering and a 4-link front of some type. any advise that you guys could give would be great.

Look here: http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/techart...ension_part_2/ Was posted up in the "4 Link Calculator" thread. Good stuff, but it'll give you a head ache until you figure it out. I'll be using this as a guide for a new build this winter.

well i have started working on my rig again so here are some pics of stuff that i have bought, made,or had some one make

that is one of th tie rods that i had built for the hydro steering. those are 3/4 rod ends left and righ handed thread on it. it was made from 1 1/2 solid stock drilled tapped and tapered down to 1 1/4 with a flat spot for a wrench.
[IMG][/IMG]

this next one is th diff cover that i found online. will be able to weld to this one for the mounting bar for one side of the ram. was made from two peices of steel the ring and the rest is just one that was bent then welded and you can make out the little drain plug(so cute)
[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

started with 3x3 square tube cut a 3 6in pieces off. for the link mounts at the axle
[IMG][/IMG]

tryed for a while to hand grind the radius didn't like how it turned out so i started again with a 12in peice then got a 3in hole saw and put that into the drill press and got these
[IMG][/IMG]

noched the 3x3 out and started making sure the jonny joints will fit[IMG][/IMG]

i mean he doesn't have a lot of gee-whiz, "i'm a rockstar" kind of stuff in
there.

it's a nice change from pirate.

not everything in 300m or super duper chromo-whatever.
