well now that i have mounted the lights i got started on the hood this is the frame work that i did that will have the 1/8th aluminum for the sheat metal. will be using gas struts to hold it open and a keyed latch to keep it closed

desided to take a little brak from the truck and dug out and fried up the sled for the frist time this year.

whatcha gun do about an air filter?? Me and my cousin got the same cold air kits to make them into a snorkle but we werent sure bout the filter.. probably gunna have to goto a junk yard and get a filter box from a FI vehicle...

ok for those of you that have done this will a bbc bolt in to the same motor mounts as a sbc? or do i need a different motor mounts. i have never messed with bbc stuff. at this point just wishing but would be good to know. and anybody out here have a complete running bbc? would prefer carbed but not against efi. and what would you want for it? like i said at this point just wishing but if the price is good (not saying cheep but reasonable)will consider i doing the swap.

spent the last few days going over wiring. got the lights wired in and finally got the radiator back and the fans. and got the fan wired and mounted.the rest of the sheet metal for the upper plates is on just the hood left to do. and moved the drivers side clamp for the ram as sugested by bgreen. pics will come later.

I went down to White Spruce today and got a price on a trailer.

12,000lb 18' for $4500.
I looked at them first hand and they are nice trailers. They were marked down from $5700. He has 3 left and I think I will be paying him a visit in a couple weeks when my tax return comes in.

ok time for pics
pics 1,2,3 the radiator and fans
pic 4 waiting for the truck to warm up to set the fan temps
pic 5 the notch i had to do to move the ram clamp
pic 6 proof that the lights work
pic 7 got the bump stops on still need to guset them

it's not to bad really. can hold a conversation with the passenger with out raising your voice at trail speeds. when you get on the gas it starts making more noise but by then the exhaust note covers it any way. will be putting new mufflers on it will have to see what happens then.

got the gussets for the bumpstop landing pad done today and started to work on the hood again didn't get much done on the hood though here are the pics

not sure at this point. would like to though. have a contract on the slop that has been delayed for about 3 months now. and it's looking like it will kick off in late may now.
