They are plates that go from the front of the unibody back to right behind the steering box. If you ripped the unibody they are good.

Good pics if you scroll down a little.... http://www.tntcustoms.com/Jeep/Chero..._Bumperxj.aspx

AKPrice how about the inner brace for the steering box? Have you/can you do those?

Gotcha. Unibody is fine, welds from the bumper to the brackets broke.

Tieins would still be nice for if/when you do a winch

Went and did a little repo mission. Sold a set of 36x12.5 TSL's last summer but was never paid... So I went and picked them up and they found their way onto the jeep.

Anyone want to take bets on how long the turdy-five rear lasts? Lol.

Open 35: could last a while if you don't hop the rear end while in the gas.

Locked 35: first time you pinch a rear tire and give it some gas.

Dang, I'm glad I have a 44. It's got a Detroit on 35s, and I've beat it like a slave.

Let my buddy borrow the xj, broke a rear ujoints then granaded the front pass side shaft....

Looks like I'm going to keep the d30/44 combo and put them under the xj.
Kind of surprised me, my front tires are near bald, I thought that little d30 might actually hold up... Lol

I should really consider looking for a ford/dodge d60 front..

Went and started pulling the heep apart. Checked the rear end, the strap bolts broke before anything else..

And a pic of the front
[URL=http://s.photobucket.com/user/crdude/media/CFDFBC6F-C7CD-46CD-BE24-FB1A1CC53F8B_zpsmebk9que.jpg.html][/URL

And apparently when they towed the jeep back, they somehow managed to rear end his brand new chevy... Bed on the truck crumbled pretty bad around the tail light, no new damage to the xj...

Xj 1 : chevy 0 haha

As usual, progress is slow. Lol
All that's left is the brakes, steering and track bar. Then I'll be ready to bolt up the locked front end.

Thats like saying you would rather be kicked in the left nut instead of the right strength wise they are about the same .

So an axle with a larger ring gear, larger axle shafts, and thicker/larger axle tubes is the same strength, news to me.

Sense I was in there figured I'd finally use those RE LCA's.

And the jeeps sitting on its rubber again. Just need to get that mini spool in the 44 rear and pop it under the rear..

Finished the rear end, time to drop the turdy-five and put this under it.

Pulled the 35, went to install the 44. Found the spring perches on the 44 are about 1/2 inch taller then the 35 so I'll be needing new ubolts.
