Hmm, I was going to build a bumper. But this old ARB bull bar is laying in the parts pile.

Free is well.... Free! It will also look ok with the simple flat bed that is going on the back.

The bumper came off our Xterra (it is here on another thread). It was bought at the auto auction in Anchorage. Not sure what it was originally off of, the lines didn't match the Nissan.

I lived in Alaska for a number of years and would love to move back. (I currently still spend a lot of me free time in Palmer.) The problem is finding a job up there that gives the same bang for buck as down here.

This pic takes everything into account. Not showing how much more I would have to pay for shipping on parts... (I picked Omaha being it is a average medium sized city.)

I do have a few lines on jobs (in my field) up in Ak, in which I would take a hit in order to be back. They however open once every three years and the timing has not lined up with my kids..etc.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the past I lived in Fairbanks, Bethel, and Anchorage. The Toyota getting built in this thread lived my Alaska years without much of a fuss. It deserves a second life...

Not mounting a winch to this... boo!

So...

Rather than fighting old backing nuts... may as well cut them out for new.

New frame side mount... should hold up to a winch as good as any.

Look behind.. ran gusset to frame rail.

I take a guess like anyone... If all else fails I cut the shackle mounts free and move them a hair.

Two springs on rig now..
