Default Alaskan rc ideas

well my original idea of a road trip is fast becoming a move. so now iam thinking of bringing a rc. i get bored easy and tv dont cut it. i wont have a shop like i do down here so there wont be my normal tinkering to pass the time. had a range of rcs but the crawlers are my favorite. now iam down to my brushless honcho on 2.2s and my summit with the dewalt, a nqd jet boat and barbwire boat. thinking only one rc and maybe a boat. the honcho is great for good looks and realistic crawling but the summit just eats stuff up and can cross water and deep snow with a tire change. but its big and takes up alot of space.
any pros or cons you can think of to help me decide would be great. going to give my lil sis what i dont take. whats easler to find parts for traxxas or axial? what do you guys wheel with? oh a plus for the summit is a fpv setup would be at home on it.

hobby shop in Anchorage carries a pretty complete line of both traxxas and axial parts.

The scale crawlers seem to be the big thing up here right now if you're wanting to get together with others, I say bring them both

2.2 crawlers are fun and you can entertain yourself without having to go far if anywhere at all I was told I couldn't run my nitro boats on anchorage lakes that where not motorized which is like 1 lake lol
