Default B-29

Just got back. Nice day, but started off COLD! Alot of people showed up for what was a short trip, but alot of fun with good people. Only a couple stucks on a pretty well packed trail. We made it up to the hills then came back.

Yeah, it was a cold morning for us with no tops lol. VERY short run. I wish it would have been longer. But... It happens. I would have loved to have seen a couple of the rigs on the s-hill. But, I heard that snowmachine were not able to get up it. So, Ice was a major factor. The trail was in so-so conditions. Cole as you see in the pics fell off the trail into a "hole". And tryed to POWER out. Ended up catching a 44" swamper on a frozen rock. Gutting the front lock rite (detroit is in the works) So that ended his day. And as Cole was in the hole, Others came down and said the s-hill was slick. So everyone turned around after getting Cole out.

We got to test the Jeep out. On a trail. Did excellent. The airshox are in up in the air. I think before summer I am going to coil over the back. I just dont like the fluctuation of the airshox. With the cold temps my spring rate was way low. Along with my ride hiegth. After going over the large bumps at 15mph they warmed up, and were working right. I also need to do a little fender remodeling It was a good run to start the club off with. I believe it could have been organized better (my fault). But, its the first run for the club. So what can you expect? Pictures...

I just got back from part 2 of the run. Some of us left B-29 and headed out to the Glacier, but here are my picks from B-29. It was a good run, and I was impressed with the TJ's performance all the way around! Pics:

This is Matt (91Pickup) stuck no more than 45 seconds into the run! Not his fault though, bad chains from Wal-Mart.

AlaskaVX found a little hole too! Actually, this is the same hole that swallowed up Cole's Jeep, about 20 minutes later.

When we finally got to the S hill, Jason gave it a shot, but as you can see from the pic, it was not happening! Sheer ice all the way up. Even Snowmachines weren't gettin it done.

Shortly thereafter, Gary decided to see what it looked like at the top, so he winched himself up, only to realize that there wouldn't be any more go after that, so down he came!

I'd post a better trip report, but there were too many people, and I forgot to take notes! Suffice it to say that we had a great time on 2B2P's Innaugural run! Thanks all for attending, and post up your pics!!!

We (wife and I) had an awesome time. Thanks 2B2P for inviting others to tag along. I'll post up my pics later.

We also had a great time out at Knik. There were a lot of water crossings that could of got ugly. Thank god for GPS.

Here are the pics I took from the run.

I got sunk in the same hole Cole did but before him. I had a winch so i was able to hook to a tree and pull myself out. Diff cover worked great against the rocks right under the snow there.

The trip was pretty cold without a heater and a bunch of holes in the cab. The FSJ still has a lot of work to be done on it. I NEED TO INSTALL THE HEATER.
