Exclamation Help with choices

I want to buy my wife a digital camera. I want one that's like a traditional 35mm but digital. Something I can change lenses and use an adapter to connect it to my spotting scope. Looking to keep the cost under a grand for camera and one lens.

Looking at the web, digital review will drive me crazy, not to mention waste hours upon hours of time.

Any suggestions or warnings appreciated.

the believe the new Cannon Rebels accept standard 35mm lenses. Everyone I've talked to really likes their Rebel. My mom got one for x-mas last year and she has nothing but good things to say about it. But I'm sure someone on here will know a little more then I will.

Good luck.

looks like you went higher than $1000? 50D is a great body, well constructed.
