Default Video editing software?

Whats a decent software for editing *.mp4 videos? Not looking for anything pro-grade, but decent for splicing clips and maybe adding audio.

On a side note, has anyone had issues with their GoPro cam taking choppy video?

Default Re: Video editing software?

I've found the gopro choppy video a result of the software, not the camera. I can get it to play well on the computer at full res or off a disc on the Blue Ray but have trouble with blue ray via Hard disc or computer with the wrong player. Oddly enough, I think it was WMP that got the vid playing on the computer, not VLC like I usuallu use. I just Use Windows movie maker but if your a mac guy I think quicktime does a good job.
