Default Big 3 wheeler 3 wheel drive!!

This thread looks like the place to post the odd stuff.
This summer we got a 40' container of stuff from Holland, my parents home.
In it there was a 1986 JAMAFA brussel sprout harvester. It has 3 tractor tires about
5' tall. The engine ia a 1600cc VW diesel (think VW Rabbit) and the drive is
hydrostatic with hydroloic front wheel assist. The rear axle has a manual locker
but you can't reach the lever from the cab. Handy !!

In these picture it isn't finished being reassembled yet.
This machine drives next to a row of brussel sprout stalks and cuts them off.
The driver then grabs the stalks and shoves them through a stripper head
on his left that strips all the sprouts and leaves off the stalk. The stalk is pulled
out the other side the sprouts go up the elevator and the leaves fall on your lap.
I guess that is why the cab has no floor. If any one has ever used one of
these please contact me, the book is half dutch and half german with no pictures.

I'm useing it to harvest brussel sprouts of course.
I'm the farm fabricator for our farm and this is one of dads new ideas.
We grow brussel sprouts and don't like harvesting them by hand.
In Holland where this machine came from it is to small , but it is just right
for us to learn with. We have more in freight than we paid for the machine.

Here it is in the field on its maiden voyage and that is my dad throwing a few
sprouts that i missed into the hopper.
I've learned one more thins about the VW engine. Not only does it have glow
plugs for cold weather starting ,it also has a cable to pull to change the injector
timing for cold weather starts. First time I've heard that one.

My vw rabbit had that advance cable. My TDI motor has a vacuum operated cold advance that's not hooked up - I need to put a choke cable to that thing one of these days.
