Default What are you using for wet weather gear?

Look like chasing deer on Kodiak might finally be in my sights this year. If all goes well it will the first half of November, and that means it will be wet. So what is everyone using for jacket and pants? For boots it looks like a tossup between Mucks and Bogs.

If your lucky like us you won't need much in the way of raingear, chances are you will though. I have used a few different kinds and none of them really keep you 100% dry. Goretex or something similar would be my best recommendation and wear layers like polester that are wiking. Stay await from cotton.

I wear Muck boots, Browning pants and Rivers West jackets. Like Noah said, layers and breathable.

I used to be a die hard Danner boot guy. Not for hunting in Kodiak. Even back when they were quality boots made in the USA, this place ate them for breakfast and spit them out before lunch. Cost too much to ruin here. Now that most pairs I see are made in China? I don't even buy them for work anymore. Last pair fell apart within 6 months at work. Pretty disappointing.
