Default 460 Ford Serpentine Saginaw pump conversion

I've gotten a lot of questions lately on my Saginaw conversion so I decided to post it here. This is on my 90 460 with factory serp belts. PSC sells one for a 351 and a 302 but when I enlarged them and looked at the clocking they would not work for me, YMMV.

Used an 85 k3500 hydroboost pump from Napa with remote reservoir can ~$50.
West Texas off road mod if the pump isn't already maxed, some are.
JY remote reservoir, mine came off a ford van with a return port.

cut up an old chevy mount, added 3/16" spacer plate, weld nuts, and a cover plate. could be fabbed with 3/8" stock (see below in my notes).

Choose 1 bolt that can use a factory mount hole and a sag hole. Bottom left in this pic.

Red outer "washer plate" from above is to keep the sag bolts that are only 1/2 in the mount in place, see below.

All 3 stock holes were used, 1 goes into the sag pump, 2 go into the weld nuts. All 4 sag bolts were used, probably overkill. Sag was metric, my weld nuts were SAE.

Clearance for the sage bump.

3/16" spacer on the sag mount, test fit based on planned pulley, might need 1/4" or a washer.

OD pulley, part number below. Over pressed onto the shaft but it had less engagement than a stock so no big.

Ford van remote res.

2 years and no issues, 1 hand lock to lock in the dirveway...

Notes:
Pulley I used
300-133, 5.188 diameter, 1.056 wide, 1.154 tall, ~1.2135 considering width diff. Underdrive. ~.75 shaft engagement, over pressed onto shaft but fits at 3/8" adapter plate
300-130, 5.78 diameter, 1.175 wide, 1.305 tall. stock drive option from a ford Saginaw van for swap, did not check engagement to verify but even if 1" shaft engagement like others a washer would cover the difference.

Back of pulley to mount. .5975 on my 90, .57 on 88.
.400 thick aluminum bracket
5.75 stock pulley diameter

3/16 saginaw adapter plus 3/16 steel spacer. plus just under 3/8 saginaw offset (grind to fit if building from scratch). could use 3/8 alum/steel plate + plasma and a 3/8 spacer ground to fit easily (grainger)

Sag is .75, ford is .6854
Ford stock c2 300-003, 5.81, .689 hole, 1.469 book offset
Ford stock sag pulley is 300-020, 5.866, 1.130 book offset, .752 hole

Possible c2 od pulleys. 300-144 or 300-029, stock is 300-003

Nice. I did a Saginaw swap on my 95 last summer. I couldn't find any good pics at the time of what others had done, so I ended up ditching the aluminum bracket and built one from scratch. I need to swap a smaller pulley though to speed my pump up bit at idle. Mine is almost 7".

Try one of the 3 part numbers listed based on desired OD, may have to dig through the specs base on how you are set up.

In my limited Ford experience, dating back to mid 70's, their PS pumps have always been troublesome. Nice work!
