I haven't checked the salvage place yet.
I can do a ski (dual?) or just another balloon tire up there.
The ski might be easier to start with.

I say go with the ski anyway, should give you more flotation and better steering. Only drawback being a harsher ride. You can probably modify front forks from a bike, but I dont know how well the oil would do when its real cold

That is cool. Just needs some balloon tires.
I need to finishing putting my motor together, then I can work on the swingarm.

great project maybe you could use older cleated snowmobile tracks to make those rear wheel set-ups!
i'd like to start to build a karakart with a three wheel drive set-up that I've thought up

I have a swingarm from a Polaris 4x4, early 90's, you can have it if thats what your looking for, it is chain driven by the way. and i have a pretty good snowmachine track, thats really old that you might be able to use.

Here's a trike I built, I used a H-D servi car rear end. Street legal and its studded up all around. Fun fun fun and it gets around better than most cars. Thank you willie G for heated gear !!

The rear tires are automobile and the front is a flat track tire and it's a little stickey, i go around the s curve on jewel lake side ways and steer with the throttel . When the roads are dry i hardley ride it but when its snowy and slippery, know were talking. It's definatly a hoot. The cool thing about it is in less then 3 hours it's back to a two wheeler, just change the swing arm and a few little odds and ends and the real cool part is it's my wifes bike. O yea it's for sale to.

The vulnaribility has passed. If it had a side car attached, I would have probably bought it.

It's just that this is a thread about building a trike snow trails, not slick streets. Riding a trike in winter is ok if that's your thing but it won't do any better than any lighter 4x4 on the trails I do think that those street versions would do pretty well with 44's and big ski up front maybe

I do think my shovelhead would like a servi car rear.
But it will have to wait.

Someday I will get motivated to fix my XR500 and then I can revisit the snow trike idea.
