Frequently Used Technical Abbreviations:

AT = Automatic Transmission OR All-Terrain
BB = Budget Boost - an inexpensive lift kit usually consisting of spring spacers and longer shocks
BFG = B.F. Goodrich
BL = Body Lift
BPE = Bar Pin Eliminator
CA = Control Arm
CV = Constant velocity (joint)
DC = Daimler-Chrysler
CPS = Crankshaft Position Sensor
DPA = Drop Pitman Arm
ECU = Engine Control Unit
GY = Goodyear
HU = Head Unit (for stereo)
LA = Long Arm
LCA = Lower Control Arm
MM = Motor Mount
MML = Motor Mount Lift
MT = Manual Transmission OR Mud-Terrain
MT/R = A type of Goodyear offroad tire, standard on Rubicons
OBA = On Board Air
OME = Old man Emu, an Australian manufacturer of aftermarket suspensions and components
ORO = Off Road Only, a manufacturer of aftermarket suspensions and components
O2 = Oxygen (sensor)
RE = Rubicon Express, a manufacturer of aftermarket suspensions and components
SYE = Slip Yoke Eliminator (also called a fixed-yoke conversion or a short shaft kit). If you have a Rubicon, you don't need one - NV241OR transfer cases incorporate a fixed-yoke.
TB = Track Bar OR Throttle Body
TBT = Toys by Troy, a manufactuere of aftermarket components
TC = Transfer Case OR Torque Converter
TCU = Transmission Control Unit
TPS= Throttle Position Sensor
UCA = Upper Control Arm

Common Forum Abbreviations:

AFAICS = As Far As I Can See
AFAIK = As Far As I Know
BRB = Be Right Back
BTA = But Then Again
BTT = Back To Top (used when one feels the need to bump a thread to
the top of the main page)
BTW = By The Way
CYA = See ya'
FWIW = For What It's Worth
FYI = For Your Information
