Default nfa trust anyone?

so i am looking at possibly doing a nfa trust, not having any luck with the local lawyers, checked with the guntrustlawyer website that alot of people seem to use, does anyone here have one? who did you get it thru?

kind of opened a can of worms i wasnt thinking about, i just got my stamp for my first sbr, was thinking if anything ever happens to me how does that work, as my wife would be in possession of a nfa item that she doesnt have a stamp for?

i am looking at one for a few reasons,

passing my stuff on to my kids
making it legal for my wife/kids if anything ever happens to me
and wait times and no prints/pictures/cleo signature

any input is appreciated

soo i ended up getting one from silencer shop, read alot of reviews and they were very helpfull

i was reading up on registering your trust with the state of alaska, i have the form filled out, but it says superior court, are you just supposed to take it to the local court house and go from there? anyone else register their trust with the state?

District and superior court are both at the Palmer courthouse or Anchorage courthouse. I don't know exactly what is entailed with registering with the state, but I don't think it is much. Don't list your items on the forms when you register with the state, as this become public record. List them after you register.

OK makes sense on listing them, there's nothing on the trust yet, I'm here in Fairbanks, we only have one court house so hopefully it is easy. I have the actual paper printed off and filled out from the Alaska court page of documents, I'm actually about to go in, so I'll report back the particulars

Thanks for the info

If you are up here get with Alaska Illusive Arms. They have been helping folks get theirs setup correctly and geared towards firearms not just a general trust. They are in NP.

Might have to talk to them, the trust is already done, but I've done business with them before, I used one of their lowers for my SBR

Ok, I already had the form and had filled it out, but they have the forms at the office, here it was part of the Probate office in the court house, cost 40$, took about 10 minutes total, and best of all, the state does NOT need a copy of the trust. They date stamp the forum, sign it, give you a copy that has a case number on it and you're good to go
