Default problem woth 7.3

I have a 99 f250 superduty with a 7.3 and a 6 speed. Its doing some weird things. Its vibrating when I push in the cluch and its clunking occasionaly when you release the cluch which leads me to believe its the thoughout bearing but it is also vibration when im driving down the road when I run it at a certain rpm which doesnt make any sencw if it was the thoughout bearing because its not being used at all...any suggestions on what it might be?

Thanks

Spencer

does it have a dual mass flywheel? what you are describing could be caused by the springs between the two sections failing.

1999 didn't come with dual mass flywheels it sounds like the clutch plate has broken springs and maybe even a pressure plate failure my recommendation is to drop the trans and get it looked at quick before it causes real troubles with the engine such as wearing out the flywheel and having to buy a new one or other unforeseen issues
if you are doing the job yourself be sure and replace the pilot bearing

If it was the throw out bearing wouldn't it only do this when the clutch is used? Any suggestions on what it might be?

"is this what I ment" (sic) is that I decoded your 3rd grade level writing to something we could understand.
