Default '93 sidekick

Picked this up for next to nothing from tatwhitetrash to build a little beater.

Ordered some stuff

Going to be picking up a set of yota axles with 5.29's and a detroit from smee907.

The plan is linked front on air shocks and leafs in the rear for now. Steering will be full hydro with a P-pump mounted with an urban rock crawler bracket.

Id like to do some sort of underdrive or kicker3 type setup that uses a sidekick range box mated to a sammy t-case. Or maybe just a divorced sammy case for now, who knows. I plan on getting it rolling and figuring out if I need more reduction from there.

Tires will be something in the 35-38 range, whatever I can find for now.

I had some time to work on it this weekend.
Got the rear suspension (3 link) cut out and hung the springs.

Sorry for the cell phone pictures

This should be within a few inches of ride height.

Ak Ford, Did you check pinion angle for your rear axle before you welded everything in place. From the look in the pics when you take the vehicle off the stands the springs look like they are going to have a downward slope to the engine creating poor pinion angle. Unless you plan on cutting of the perches for your new axle to give proper angle. Just curious I didn't see new perches on your build order sheet. Should be a cool build I did the same setup for my Durango.

I have to inboard the the perches a few inches, I'll get the pinion angle set then. The springs are actually pretty flat with the weight on the front tires instead of a few feet back on the frame. I'm going to have to get some new spring packs that don't have a leaf broken in each one, those were really just for mockup.
The shape of the frame makes the springs sit higher in the front than I would like, but the shackles would have to be way too long to get them level. I don't think it will be a huge deal though.

lol.... Durangle. if the Matt and Clint were here they'd be all over me for that one.

Josh.... are you any better? Don't you have vehicles in multiple states? Mine are all in my yard

1984. Yes I am guilty of owning a mustang. Do you need another? If chris is driving his ford or suzuki, you won't even need a head start.

Trailer3dklhsdf.... I have to say that durango is awesome! LOVE those tires!
