Yeah
That's the one I saw too.
It had been sitting at the auto body shop behind Napa in Eagle River.
$19K?
Wowsers!
That's nuts!
I'll have to check it out

I like them, fit that Blazer nicely. Lot better than 22.5s on a pickup

yeah, I know the 502 isn't cheap, but it's not worth the price to me. 6-10 without the fancy motor would be an ok price. I wonder how much a guy could get out of a 502?

Depends on whch 502 it is, the crate engines are built to several levels of horsepower. With todays gas prices I wouldn't plan on selling it anytime soon
for half its' original cost.

yikes, that's spendy. how much of that price was the engine I wonder. I'm guessing 10k at least in the engine if it was a decent built crate. still seems rich to me, even if it is pristine and low miles.

I'm starting the process of looking for a reliable mostly restored rig to have as a daily driver. Ideally i would like a crew cab short bed, slightly lifted 4x4. I have looked at new trucks and not one manufacturer catches my eye at all. Every one of them seem to have a problem of some sorts and seems like you are settling for which problems you can deal with. All of them are massively electronic/computer driven. I would really like to be able to go back to a carb and be able to diagnose and work on my vehicles again. I do not have the time or facilities to do a full restoration myself, so that is why I am looking for one mostly finished or completely restored.

I prefer the body style starting in 1981 thru the late 80s. Crew cab is a must as well as being gas, one that has been converted to short bed would be optimal and 4x4 is mandatory up here. 1 ton would be preferential, but i would consider a 3/4 ton. A Dually is not out of the question, however most likely I would eventually convert it back to a single rear axle with the shortening of the bed as well. No rust buckets/projects. Looking for one that is mostly or fully restored.

I currently have a 2006 1500hd and love it. However it is now at 120K miles. No problems yet other than little things like dash lights. Eventually this truck will become too old as far as mileage and cost more in upkeep than to replace it. That is why I am starting the ball rolling to look into the next rig before I am in a pinch of having to find something now.

"Eicherman" has one for sale on CL, it is a gas crewcab, but doesn't meet the rest of your stated criteria. LOL
Keeping my eyes peeled.

That's my dads ride. She's a gem. 454/TH400/203-205 doubler/ 47" LTB's/ hydro assist steering/ lockers/ chromolly shafts/ winches front and rear with a mini wrecker sling out back. It's a addition to the Alaska low range recovery line up.
