Short vid of the fun...good stuff. 182 mile run out of Whittier harbor...with a 496 that was a **** ton of fuel and some nasty *** weather.

Yeah, it was a bummer to watch the gauge fall. However, any less boat on that trip and we would have been in trouble out in the gulf...steady 6` swell with upwards of 50 knot winds...made for some dicey running. There is something to be said for 15,000 pounds of boat. We were actually at a point where we couldn`t get the boat on step because the outdrive was coming out of the water when we crested waves. Fished in that shiz for about 3 hours and the other guys just watched through the glass and shook their heads. We did hide a while here and there and managed some pretty good fish in some unlikely areas. All in all an expensive/cold trip but sure love the light tackle halibut fishing! And the company wasn`t too bad.
