Default DC483 - Permit Hunt

Did anyone else draw the DC483 Caribou hunt for the Paxson area? Anyone been hunting up in that area? I drew the permit for Aug 20-Sep 20 and Oct 21-Mar 31. To my knowledge, none of my hunting buddies got that one (although two of them got the one I really wanted out of Eureka!).

I drew the same permit! I'm researching it with a bunch of friends from Bible study who lived and have relatives in the Glenallen area. My hunting buddies got Eureka and Cantwell side of Denali so we're all spread out trying to plan hunts.

Exactly the same here (friends with Eureka/Cantwell). Too funny. Let's talk.

Not familiar with the permit but famalier with the area. Spent a couple months up there last fall building housing for the hatchery and snuk off on wheelers every morning and evening. There's a lot of land to cover up there but saw a lot of animals on the east side of the road before the lodge there's a trail that takes you back in to the river and up into arctic man land. Make sure your I's are dotted and T's are crossed. There's a LOT of enforcement up there!
