Default Lake Fishing for kids near Eagle River

We hit Mirror Lake this evening, no bites at all.

Not sure I want any pike from Fire Lake.

Any other lakes that are close to Eagle River that produce some fun for the kiddos.

I have been out of rod and reel fishing for a long time, just been dip netting for the last few years.

Thanks in advance.

I fished at Beach Lake all the time growing up and killed it until the Asians started keeping buckets of them. I'm not sure how it is anymore, it's been 11-12 years since I fished it last.

Cool, thanks man. Never fished there. We'll give it a shot tomorrow.

Fished the dock for a bit, then walked down the trail a little and fished from the bank for a while. No dice, not a single bite.

Still good times with kiddos though.

Per the state website, it was stocked a couple weeks ago.

I may try another time with my son.

Thanks again for the fishing spot.

I always fished it from a small raft or canoe. Either fly fishing or trolling with lures. I never had much luck from shore. The fish were generally too far from the bank.
