we use lightroom (well, lightroom 2 now) but when you say you want to attached them together, do you mean stich them? in which case i would reccomend photoshop, lightroom ismore for post processing, like lighting adjustments, clarity, vibrance, contrast, denoise cropping etc. but perhaps kelly could be more helpful... i just reformated my computer so i has no editin programs just yet.

What you are trying to create is called a diptych (which means 2 images in one). There are also triptychs and so on.

Here's a tutorial that seems to have good reviews, I'm too sick to watch it through and try it out so I couldn't tell you right now how easy it is or isn't. I do mine in photoshop with an action (very very easy).

First, I love the images. The color, the sharpness, and the angle, it's just my taste.

But personally, I think diptychs work better if you showcase two different views of something. And not just walking around the same building for different views. This one might work a little better with a border in between, so it doesn't confuse a daft person into thinking its one image. But I think if you do a wide angle for one half, I think the second image should be a close up of something there. Also, the only time I think a diptych works split 50/50 is if it is of 2 completely different things that you are trying to tie together (like the dog and the owner). So, since you have a landscape orientation for the wide angle, try a portait orientation for the close up (with the same pixel height as the landscape).

Make sense? I need to go back to bed...

I think you may be right about the boarder. I've never been big on them though, but I'm sure this could use it.
