Nick- Where'd you get those studs? I've got a spare set of tires I'd like to test those out on.

Valdez.
Just enough to be fun, though it's amazing how much we forget during the off season. Almost like relearning to ride all over again.

Went from hucking big hits to flat and picking technical Lines last season to hardly being able to make it up the hills without hitting anything lol

NOS inventory from work. I think they're the Woody 3/4" ones commonly available from WPS, the shortest ones they offered. I priced them all out of they were to be bought over the counter and it was like $600-700 I think, to buy as many as I used along with backing plates. It's not something I'd recommend unless you can pick them up for nearly nothing. The fronts hold great but the rears leak down after a couple days, so I'll probably be pulling the rears back off and tubing them.

Depending on how much is inside the tire, it could tear tubes?

Purple goo tire sealant. Stuff works way better than slim and will still hold and seal at -15.

Ouch! Yeah, $600-$700 isn't something I want to spend to see if it works, especially if they won't hold air. Let us know how it works with tubes.

I wonder why the fronts hold and the rears don't?

Me too. Filled my cow tag again at Point Mackenzie. Not like a real hunt though. The draw has been good to us the last three years. Between me, my wife, her sister, niece and boss, we've killed 6 cows in the last 3 years within a mile of each other. Too easy!

I originally ordered it from the creator out of Tx. Since then he sold his company to a whole sale distributor. they have dealers, but mostly in south central USA. The distributor/owner sells it on their website at HERE

The tubes should work fine, the studs actually pinch the rubber down a bit so they sit inside there pretty much flush.

I think the difference in why the fronts hold and the rears don't as well is due to the texture of the rubber on the inside of the tire. The fronts are smoother while the rears have a "spongy" pattern to them. Once the tubes are in I don't foresee any problems whatsoever.

This thing is unstoppable. I can drive in the ditch and right through snow banks and pretty much go anywhere without getting stuck!

We took the buggies to petersvie all weekend. Go anywhere you want. Not even close to enough snow to stop tires yet. Lots of sleds out though. We hace a honest 8" around our place. Maybe 12 in some places.

Over the last month I have been collecting sleds. Wife and kids all have one. Still looking for me. Trying to relearn how to ride after 17 years of not even sitting on one

The tire studs work better than a set of chains?

By far. I've taken this thing through snow and trenches that I don't think chains would've done as well. Plus, you can't hit 60 MPH with chains on!

Yup, I'd like to get my house payed off more, and I'll be doing hotrod stuff this year, so I probably won't be taking it out enough this summer to justify keeping it around.
