I haven't gone yet. New to riding sled up here and been waiting for friends to want to go since I don't feel comfortable going alone.

Well if any of you all want to go riding and don't mind someone that isn't too experienced let me know.

Been riding sled about 20 years, but from what I gather the riding here is much different than in Maine. I have almost no experience in mountains. The riding in Maine is groomed trails mostly, a sled with a 1/2" or 3/4" track works just fine.

I have a Summit 800 with a 2" 144" track.

My pickup has an 8ftx12ft bed, can easily fit 2 sleds, maybe 3 even. Also have a 4 place trailer I'm sure I can borrow.

Nate, I'll be headed up to cantwell area Friday, Saturday. Considering trying pville Sunday. Think I have 4 or 5 people wanting to go as well.

Always open to new riding buddy's. I work 2 weeks on 2 off, so I'm down to ride anytime I'm in town.

From the pics & vids Iv been seeing from people riding up north, looks deep.

Just picked up a 13' pro rmk with a 860 mod engine. Was BS'ing with chad at a2d sled works while i picked up some parts. he was telling me I picked up one of the strongest running pro's in the state. Time to take it out for then first real ride.

Pville was bad Saturday open or over flow at every spot there was water. Creeks we're wide open. I had my girl on with me on the back of the pro and it was challenging in some spots. Couldnt hit it as hard as I would by myself because the bank on the other side of the swamp or,creek. Some skips were so long the stock belt guard would let water in and the belt would start slipping. Sketch at best. By Saturday night we were hauling a truck hood behind my rzr and a pro rmk. It got cold fast and by the end the snow had over a 1" rock hard crust. Sunday I could ride my rzr everywhere and not sink in more than 2"

I just realized that today is already Friday. I'm not sure where this week went, I thought it was Wednesday

Will be a no go for me, I haven't had a chance to finish putting my sled together yet.

Hatchers was good.
Snows a little low, really have to be carful of rocks.

Had a great first ride on the pro though.

Mile 170 was good. A lot better then hatchers. Rode about 60 miles today, the 860 ran flawlessly, way happy with the power but my arms are dead tired from hanging on!

Mile 170 on the parks, about mid way to Fbanks. A little south of cantwell.

This is probably my last ride this time home, I'll be ready to go again in 2.5 weeks. Hope we get more snow between now and then!

Got word the snow is bad down south. Went back to igloo 12/30/15. Will still be headed up for sat & Sunday.

Snows wind blown pretty bad on the hills & along the power line. Still good riding in the trees and low areas.

Didn't make it half a mile from the truck before I lost spark- kill switch went bad. Unplugged it and had no issues for the rest of the day

Buddy tried following my line up a hill on his new cat 800, didn't work out to well haha.

Gotcha. Well if you sell your sled and still want to tag along I plan on getting my iqrr or my ol' 98 700 (I love rip'n these old 700's) freshn'ed up so the pro860 might be available for joy rides once in a while sometime soon.

Headed up to Cantwell all weekend.
Traded the iqrr for a nytro mtx. Should be a good loaner sled, letting a buddy ride it this weekend. Guess we'll see how the tank does. Haha

Snow was kind of sucky anywhere other then the trees. Found some good hills to shred on though.

Then.... The 860 gave up in the pro. Smoked the mag side.

I'm sorry, that stinks. Those Pro's are a blast until they blow. My friend's 2012 has been rebuilt 3x and has maybe 600 miles on it, all mountain and boondocking miles. I blew it up once on a lake, mag side seized, bummer getting towed out by my old skidoo. Hope you get her back together soon.
