Default Hydro assist help

Hey guys, IV built this jeep off a lot of reading and trial and error. Well I lost a seal in my new steering box and got another new one. I think I'm going to order an assist kit from west Texas off road. Comes with everything except the tapped box for $290. That's the ram and hoses and fittings, heims, everything. I think I could piece it together cheaper but this is a one and done deal that's proven to be great on 40's. If anyone thinks I should do something else say so.

The main reason for this post is because I have never been into a steering box. I was wondering is someone might have a little free time to help me tap my box. I'd come to you or we can do it wherever. Just looking to not mess up a brand new steering box.

Im not really worried about the uni body. I think it's about as strong as my super duty. And the street legal thing isn't really a factor for me. I had the jeep up to 75 on the speedo with the ags and not a wobble or scary feeling the whole time. I don't know what speed that really is with th 5:38's but It drives very well. I want to get some street friendly tires for it just so I can go play some more. I just don't want to spend the big money on the full hydro to be honest. I have a lot Into this jeep here lately and pcs or Howe is going to be around $1500 plus or minus a couple hundred.

No need for full hydro. Assist is just fine. Never been into a jeep box but I'm sure there are diagrams etc online here

Im actually using a Chevy rwd astro box. It made to so I could stretch my front wheel base so much since the pitman faces forward and has the reverse gears.

Lots of info on the net, I've downloaded some. I believe most Saginaw boxes are relatively the same internally. Cleanliness is key! If you need specific addresses LMK!

I would talk to Matt at west texas, he can go through your steering box and get it set up for you. I sent my box to him in a large flat rate box and he will send it back the same way. I am running his setup on my Superduty with 45" ags and it works great! Its worth the money and down time of your rig to send it down to him IMO.

I ordered it all. Talked to Matt. He thinks I'll be fine with no cooler. If it gets hot I'll add one. If you wouldn't mind helping pull the box apart to tap 84shortbed I'd take you up on that
