Default Getting "Un-stuck" plasitc ramps - Which ones?

So, I have always seen the MaxTrax ramps in a lot of magazines, but now Smittybilt has some (Element Ramps), and yesterday I saw TJM has the TRED ones. I would predict others are going to jump into this with a range of great to low quality.

Any experience, pros or cons on the three, or something better? MaxTrax seems about twice the price of the other two.

Maxtraxs or Smittys. The Smittys are pretty aggressive. Which is good with kind of sloppy mud we get.

I have used the max tracks but they are spendy.

I would think the smittybuilt ones are just fine and very cheap probably made in china to keep cost down. For that reason I try and stay away from ****tybuilt stuff.

The TJMs look pretty good and the price is fair.

a side by side comparison

Something else thT works great is a chunk of chainlink fencing.

Well, for the last 15 years, I just used a 2-foot long piece of 2x8 wood under a tire every now and then. Looking for a little more for the truck, and something to put in the trunk of the other car for winter (AWD Acura).

Grainger---Anchorage.

I have the molded -

Curious as to how the moltruded would hold up. Wouldn't be able to bridge with it but for a general traction aid it may work.

Don't go with less than 4'. 2' x 6' sections are ideal if you have the room.

I'll have a couple of well used sections at M@G if anyone wants to check them out.

The fancy name brand made for "offroad" ones look like they would hold a lot of mud and snow on and in them-- lots of recessed area that will get clogged up. The waffle boards are very easy to clean out after use. Stand them up and one or two kicks works very well---
