Default '32 Ford roadster for the kids

Thought I'd share some pics of the little roadster that I put together for my 3 sons. I originally bought this thing close to 15 years ago as a kit stroller/pedal car. It has another chassis that I had powder-coated and mounted up some 5 spoke aluminum wheels. I always waned to make it a gokart for them but didn't want to hack up the original chassis. I found a nice rolling shifter kart chassis about 5 years ago to start this new incarnation off. The shifter chassis was shortened 11 inches and narrowed 9 inches. Bought a gc160 Honda engine and built some engine mounts. Has a twist throttle and hand brake on snowmobile fly bars. Precision powdercoating did a nice job on the frame, bars and wheels. Kind of went for a ratrod/gasser look. Body originally had PPG hugger orange paint with ghost flames. The windshield frame is cast aluminum. Decided to just paint it with black plastidip with pinstriped flames. Just finished it the other night and the kids haven't yet tried it out. Enjoy. Chris.

Seating is right on top of the decklid. Been thinking through that still. It seems to work as is but there's always room for improvement.

This thing is too cool

Shouldn't be too hard to make a seat look like a cabriolet top

I was wanting to do something like this with the stepside PowerWheels body I picked up that matches my truck. Looks awesome man.
