Default 1978 c10 short bed

1978 c10 short bed.

I will be posting pics, and I also do regular uploads so any vids I do with the truck in them I will be posting!

Pretty close to rust free

Originally a inline 6/th350 truck.

I have a 400 I slapped together with rebuilt 062 vortec heads, dual plane air gap intake, holly 750 DP, of course headers and down the road i do have a new Howard's cam/lifter set that's .450/.450 .223/.223 and 108 LSA, new double roller timing set, new valve springs etc for it.

Th350, as far as I know it's stock. Worked well before I removed it from a van.

Scores some American racing brand wheels for $50

Replacing the thrashed interior

Not entirely sure where I'm going with this build but should be fun.

Here's how it was when I bought it.

Pulled front clip, cleaned/painted frame.

Can see one of the new wheels in this pic

Engine/trans going in

All bolted up

VIDS!!! Much more detailed then the pics

Been slowly working on getting the little things done on the c10.
Bought a bracket for the throttle & kick down cable, didn't work right but a little cutting and welding and I got the throttle operating as it should.

Went to put the drive line in, only to find its to short! WTF I thought, then I realized the th350 I pulled out had a long tail housing, and the one I put in has a short one. So I need a 3" longer drive line now.
On the bright side of things, if I ever decide to swap to a 700r4 I have the correct drive line sitting around for it

Don't mind the tarp, that's my "shop floor" lol
I'm pretty much at the point where if I put a drive line in it and hook up the B&M megashifter, I can finally take it for its first drive.

Also picked up a new hood sense the one I have is bent near the cowl, didn't take a pic of it though.
