Many sub 500 horsepower cars are over-carbureted and require a good amount of carb tweaking to run properly.

Good deal, no doubt, but holy crap thats still a lot of money either way! I can see the point about a lot of those cars being over-carbed as Maddening put it. Makes sense. I did know that NASCAR was restrictive with their intake setups, but we're also talking about the most polished, perfected, precision built high end pushrod V8's on the planet, built by rocket scientists. I'm sure the amount of money-hours into each NASCAR mill is well over what any of our cars are worth.

Scott, what kind of power would you see from your engine if you dropped the comp down to say, 12 or 12.5:1 and and then plumbed up an 80-100mm turbo or big Procharger (F1?) ? Just curious what an engine that potent would make huffing 20 or so psi.... Would that even be doable, or would the comp have to go even lower?

the comp would have to be about 8 to 1 there are a couple turbo mustangs here running twin turbos no sure what size but they are pushing 2500 horsepower out of a smallblock , but that is biiiig money .

No meth Inj yet , I did manage a 8.60 @ 155 in street trim and a 8.50 @ 160 without the mufflers .. best pass was on the last day before the f2 sucked the screen into it ..would of been a 8.30 for sure . New f2, intake , and a dominator carb for this season ... 7s are coming .
