Default Almost made it...

Made it about half way to the Knik glacier this morning. Buddy ran out of time so we cut it short. Had a good time and ate some smores. I will say my little pathfinder keeps surprising me more and more. It did really well back there on those narrow trails. Only damage today was a tweaked brush guard. But that was a total rookie move. Oh well. Had fun and plan on going further back on saturday.

The crossings were all frozen over but covered in powder. It's supposed to be warm this week so it might not stay that way. Started to break through on a couple spots so we avoided those on the way out.

Had a couple hours after work last night. I made it out to Wolf Point. Holding against the Knik all the way to Friday made for some fast running, 45 minutes. No snow and everything I found was frozen solid. Used my F150 with 33s

Sounds like you had fun. Good to hear on the frozen stuff. We're headed out there again Saturday morning. Plan to hit the trail about 9. Taking my 90 pathfinder on 30's (red&black). If you have the time you should go out again. It'll be nice valentines run. I don't like going out solo vehicle so all the company is welcome.

Wish I could. Wife and I are headed out of state monday though, so today and tomorrow is all packing.

If you can stay on the main trail closest to the river it'll be fine. I got sidetracked at one point and ended up going a ways up a slough where the ice started cracking. Once I got off that it was all good.

Next time then. Yeah we just got back. We ended up cutting into the tree line on a very narrow trail and ended up at the base of the mountains on Friday creek. Had fun though. I'm really just winging it when we go out. I can never remember the trail to get out there. It would be nice to follow someone that knows where they are going. Sounded like there were a lot of people out there. Anyways have a good trip bud and we'll catch you next time.
