At this point we were all pretty tired. It took a bunch of people working together to get us parts and Brian running about 60 miles round trip to the trail head to pick them up. Greentree Fab gathered the parts. Curtis picked them up from GTF delivered them to Tyler at Northwest Cummins. Tyler brought them to Chris in the valley who also got us some grub and ran them to the trail head. We got the rig back together and were on top of Hell Hill at dark and to the trail head soon after midnight.

To sum it up, life's about a story, if you don't have one, go get one.

Thanx to everyone that made this a story to remember!

Sounds like it was a hell of a story for the books.

Just curious, what killed the tire? Wasn't doable to patch it or put a tube in?

I hate it when family drops in unannounced! It's not like it is a day trip from okc! I wish I could have been there.

what killed it? gravel/sand tween the tube and tire. Changing a tube is a colossal job because of the wheel design. It takes most of a day in the shop with air tools. Some folks had to be at work the next day so it was easier to leave it. I've been fighting the wheels since its first run. It's done wheeling until they are replaced.

Mmmmm..... Dip****s. They're what's for dinner!

Nice run and pics. Glad you all made it back in one piece (pieces?). Thought I taught Dusty better than to use bendable tie rods......

Thanks for the report. Good stuff!!!

Whats this sh!t about the Lexus that could but shouldn't have??

I learned a lot of what my vehicle is capable of, and what it isn't without some minor adjustments. It was a beautiful trip that in all actuality could have been much much much worse! It was far more aggressive than I was thinking (Should know better, I've seen Scott's trip reports in the past)

And like I said, I learned a ton about how to make the Offroad Lazyboy do things the salesman never thought it would be doing.

.....need to figure out a way to reduce rear overhang for cheap.....

Thanks again for not making me feel too bad about playing winch yo yo with the Lexus!!! And a big thanks to all of the winch anchors that were made available so I could continue along!
