Wish I had a more capable rig fellas to help with the recovery. Been following along but I would have just been burning fuel with a warm cab.

Everyone is safe, but the recovery continues. They are right next to a steep cut-bank, in 5'-6' of water, with minimum depths of 4'. All hoods were at least partially submerged. One axle from an XJ is likely hung-up underneath a lower ice shelf, and complicated recovery. Dense alders also limited space and access. Considering the ice conditions, I wouldn't have even put a buggy in the water there. Three buggies on-scene. The Jeeps need to be lifted up as much as forward and sideways.

People are safe, 1 vehicle got out in pieces, 2 rigs were left in the drink when we left. Patrick and John where no where to be seen and do not know how to relay onto others.

Glad no one got hurt. Saw some pretty bad pictures. Looks like some totaled rigs. I take it this was a club run?

I havent seen any pics yet. I know most guys do their own recovery but If they are still needing help, pass my number along. 715-8852. We can get it out and minimize damage. Good luck and stay safe on the ice.

Heres a link to the photos so you have an idea of what you'd be getting into and maybe what kind of equipment you might need. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2262...6/?pnref=story

Maybe ask around. I talked to Chris Turner about every 20 mins. I had to get home to my kid. There were **** near 25 people out there. With Jon's rig losing power and my alternator not keeping up with the new winch, all we could help with was man power. Which there was more than enough of. Too many people really.

I left my house about 6. Didn't get home till 145. I think Jon and I and Rob all did what we could out there. It became obvious that more was needed. So Chris was called.
