We showed up about 25 minutes late of our start time of 0900, **** alarm clock didn't go off or something... get out there, Murph and Lost start untrailering the Crew-fab off the trailer... them dinky tires make it look funny ![]() On the way out to the glacier, everything went smooth up until I went down a dropoff that was a bit harsher than I thought, even easing down I ended up nailing either my class 3 hitch or the pintle hitch, either way it caused enough flex in the frame to pop my rear rollup on the blazer. Not freakin cool. Get out to the glacier, had lunch, poked around an interesting ice archway, watched my dog play stupid dog and fall thru the ice (she's ok) and got some pictures and stuff posing here and there. Generally a fun run. On the way back, stopped to jump some circled problem.. i mean ford powerstroke, dude had just shut it down to talk on the phone easier and it wouldn't start. With my hood popped, we noticed that my accessory system battery was cooking rather well through the vents. Disconnected it from that alternator, and it cooled on down and is fine now. Don't know what the deal is, future research for that. Somewhere along the line, Murph lost his CB antenna. Guess we need to fab up a shielded mount system like we did the other day for my CB/Scanner/dualband antenna array on the top of the truck. Which did wonderfully other than I didn't tighten the antennas themselves down enough on install and had to crank them down on the trail. Otherwise, a wonderful little day trip, 10 AM-4'ish, pretty good time. Great weather on the run other than some sprinkles, no snow for us out there ![]() All rivers are easily crossable by **** near anything. Both murphyslaw and lostbychoice should have some nice pictures to post here shortly once they get home and upload. Pleasure runnin with you guys, and I'm sorry your tranny went AKFord. Pace
