Default 2B2P Mud Bash II

Our mud bash had been cancelled 2 weeks ago by mother nature, the bog was dry, so we postponed...then the rains came So at the last meeting it was decided to go ahead and bog. Thanks again to Duane & Cherish's family we had a heck of a good time, with good people and some broken parts

Those present were: (I'll probably miss 1/2 of them)
Lindsey & Son
Erich
Eric
Fred
Nate & Rhonda & clan
Duane & Cherish
Don & Dana (w/Dozer)
Heath
Andrew & Kids
Chris
Wayne & April w/ Tony and kids
Matt & Heather w/kids (Matt's wife DOES exist)
Phillip
Brittany
Sean & Aurora
Brady & Daniel
BreAnne & Ashley
Brooke & Janelle
Steve
Cherish's Mom
Mike & Cyndee

Carnage Report #1 -
Andrew's Super Duty running board & trailer lights...Self inflicted,Super Duty trucks are slightly heavy and have an adversity to bumps (High centering), and mud (sinking)

Carnage report #2 -
Duane's CJ. CJ springs can only go airborne so many times before they break. (See future wanted ad for replacement springs...and a metal detector). Mud bog was shut down for a bit until my metal detector was used to find parts.

Carnage Report #3 -
Chris's K-5. When tuning engines, be sure that when the cap is replaced, it is clipped onto the distributor...it was loose and burnt most of the cap...He was not a happy camper, but stayed and had a good time despite himself.

Carnage Report #4 -
Cyndee's XJ. After many throttle - filled trips through the pits, something (undetermined at this time, but sounds like an axle U-joint) let loose in the front end. No wanting to risk further damage, it will be trailered home. I am happy to announce that in my 22 years of marriage...this is the first time it WAS NOT MY FAULT!!!!!

Carnage Report #5-
When Wayne arrived home...the little Toyota that could...can't anymore. It finally blew up in his driveway, after 1000's of miles of fun and frolic.

Carnage Report #6-
Matt's beautiful new LJ Rubicon, had something his Rubi tried to bring home, catch on fire under the hood...he quickly doused it with water.

Mother Nature provided us with a beautiful day with family, friends & fun (The food was pretty tasty as well!)

Mama wanted to kill him for this one

Chris before the big trouble hit

Don slingin' mud

Duane started having fun...and then...(3 leaves go in...1 comes out)

I have pictures of everyone else, but whoever was manning the camera did not take any pictures of me playing in the mud! If you have some high resolution pictures of my K5 in the mud, could you please let me know ASAP. If there are any good ones, I need to send them in right away for a calendar we are making. Thanks.

We actually do need a hoe to pull some of the slop over into the main pit...then we can make it a double track course

LOL nope no jail for me, I have been around, just not able to wheel as my truck has LOTS of little problems to fix, mainly an ABS sensor and SC bearings. The ABS goes off constantly for the first couple miles I drive (not trail worthy). I'm working on getting a new one but am having trouble finding a decently priced one. Isuzu wants $515 for sensor and $125 for a tiny metal ring. I can buy an entire axle off Northwest for less but I don't know what to do with the rest of the axle (my parents would kill me to throw another axle in the yard)

Hope to be able to wheel somewhat soon but until then I will read these trail reports a web wheel.

Ask northwest if they would seperate the sensor from the axle.. I'm sure that they would do it. your next best bet is Ebay. Or just go to napa or Shucks.

You dont just go to Napa or Schucks for Isuzu Vehicross parts other than maintenance parts, unfortunately. Just has a lady in the insurance office ask me to do her wheel cylinders...WOW...dealer only, and spendy. Thought I had found some at Napa, but evidently Isuzu took lessons from Ford...NOTHING interchanges...LOL
