Default this weekend (boulder)

was pretty fun. got a little mud on the tires, lost an arrow, got stuck, enjoyed the beautiful weather with good company. no animal died while on this trip, but so help me god.......

i think that last mudhole ate my alternator. no other carnage to report as most of the day was spent walking.

Here is Jeds first stucked.

Stuck #2

After this one, we decided that we would not be able to drive back any further with out making the holes bigger or making a new path.

We set out on foot for a 3hr hike that was AWESOME. The scenery there is totally sweet, with the great weather(couldn't have asked for better weather) and a great proportion of termination dust on the high peaks and the long deep valleys with all the greenery and the rock hills with waterfalls and lakes off in the distance. totally cool, I had never been to boulder before but I can say that it is the most beautiful place I have ever wheeled.

So after we returned from our failed hunt but greatly successful scenery hike.

it was time to do some shooting. This is TJGREEN shooting my XD 45ACP notice the flying brass.(dang I am a good photographer after all)

after blowing bout 350rds of .22lr 60rds of .223 17rds of .45acp and many shots with the re curve bows and bolts, that assaulted the various objects we put out there this board happened to fall in our destructive path.

Here is jeds #3 stuck for the day, thanks to waynes persuasion.

Looks like a great trip. I'm glad no one came around that corner on the trail while you guys were unloading your weapons in that direction. Aiming off trail would be nice.

you're right dan. hind sight is always 20/20. we were actually surprised at how deserted it was out there. afterall, it was a beautiful saturday! i would like to go out again, but i have to let the xj recover for a week. i might need a new alternator/battery. that last stuck was a nosedive with water/muck over the hood. afterwards, i popped the hood, and everything was brown, and my battery was boiling.

what the picture dont show dan is we were shooting down into the little valley not over the hill towards on coming traffic if there was any .
but the guys and i were real safe and showed real good judgement and safety and had a blast hiking and puddle shooting with the bows ..

but someone had gone through and dug up all the shoring in that area jed got stuck in. it is a nasty mess you really have to be careful in there alot of sunken debris and tore up stuff sitting on top .

I had a great time. The weather was pretty much perfect and the company couldn't have been better. Although I'd still love to check out more of that trail. Thanks for letting me hang out with you guys, we should do it again sometime.
