Well I got my 8074 converted to the 8274 and put the 70865 motor. Worked great, I ordered 150' of 5/16" amsteel blue rope, then it will be test time!
It sure runs the spool fast, it takes about 3 seconds to wind up to full rpm but it does really scream! Tim |

i want to do this conversion seeing my original 2.5 motor is toast . is there a better repalcement part for the freespool plastic bearing material ?
what is the price for the 70865 vs the 68608 to alaska ? now the 6 hp been out few yrs now, i would like to do this real soon thanks

I stock both motors. They run about $400. Currently there is no off the shelf solution for the drum bushings.
